Trauma on My Daily Walk !  
Ok, one day last week when I was on My Daily Walk, these little chaps...........

ended up down a culvert which now takes the canal under the road.
They some how managed to get from the main canal down these weirs, which was once another lock.....
across this pond at the bottom.....
then down another set of weirs.....
then across another pond.....
before finally disapearing down the culvert

 

There were 2 rescue vehicles and about 8 men on site recovering the ducklings from the culvert.

Their little high pitched quacks could be heard, and mum was patiently swimming around the entrance answering her babies

They were eventually retrieved them all from the culvert and they are now back with mum swimming amongst the lillies and weeds on the main canal.....aaaaah !
